Error when updating Billing Plan amount

Hi! I'm trying to update the amount of a Billing plan using the PayPal REST API.
Firstly i got the error saying "The maximum increase allowed in the amount is only upto 20% of the original amount", then i changed the amount within 20% and got another error saying "Regular pricing scheme update is allowed only once".
One solution is to create another billing, but that's not what i desired as i have customers using the original billing plan.
