Shipping refund

Hi I received an item damaged today, The seller offered to either refund 20 dollars if I fixed it myself or else refund me just the cost of the item alone & he would cover the cost of shipping it back. My issue is it has cost me 50 dollars already for the original shipping which he said he will not refund . How can this be resolved ? Thanks

If you open a dispute with paypal and win then you would be responsible for return shipping costs so the option is yours.

Accept the sellers offer BUT make sure its sent trackable OR open a dispute and fund the return shipping costs yourself.
