Canceling Pay in 4, Merchant did not process order.

Hey all.

 

On October 25th 2020, I tried placing an order on Yoox.com (clothing website) I had shoes in my checkout cart and chose to pay with Paypal.

I selected the "pay in 4" option.  As I went to place the order, the order was canceled by the merchant as the items I had in my checkout cart were out of stock.  Paypal seems to have read that the transaction was valid and processed my first payment, even though the merchant did not allow the order to go through. 

 

I'm looking to find out how or who to contact to cancel this pay in 4 transaction.  I have tried to call customer service with no luck as the referred me to Paypal credit and PayPal credit said they couldn't help.  I just don't want to be charged for an order that did not go through. Any help would be appreciated

Have you received an answer about this? This happened to me last night but somehow with the same transaction multiple times. I dont want to be charged for an order that never went through.
