My paypal credit suddenly stopped working. I contacted synchrony and paypal credit and they said theres no issues on their end. Paypal themselves have not provided a solution . Because of this issue, my balance is in negative $86+. I have spoken to over EIGHT PEOPLE. PAYPAL credit no longer shows up as a payment option when there are no issues with the account. Not a single person resolved my issue. Ive ben transferred so many times. No one can provide a solution. Paypal has done nothing but **bleep** me over. Time after time after time after time. I JUST NEED MY PAYMENT METHOD to work. Thats it. This issue has been going on for over a week now. Phone calls are not working. I need to speak to someone in a higher position or something. This is the worst experience ive ever had on any platform. Worst customer service. Worse financial services. If youre not signed up with paypal i suggest you dont financially tie yourself with these people.

I've been experiencing the same issue for well over a month and my issue is unresolved. I'm so frustrated because I keep getting transferred all over the place with no resolution. I'm thinking of just closing my account due to how frustrating this process has been.

It seems Paypal decided to not let you use your paypal account as a conduit to your Paypal Credit account. Which was the reason I went with Paypal for my invoicing in the first place.
I admit to not reading the changes in policy, and I am sure now I should have -- paypal will no longer pull funds from the paypal credit account when you don't have enough to cover the purchase in your paypal account.
I have been using my Paypal account (and debit card) as my primary payment source for various subscriptions, work expenses and such, that come in pretty regularly. However, give I am freelancing and get paid somewhat irregularly, it was perfect for my needs. When I did get paid, I paid down the PPC account as needed.
Now, they cut this off and honestly, I'm looking into other options that ALSO take less off the top of each invoice.

Hello everyone! Thanks for stopping by our Community Forum. I'm sorry to hear there's been some confusion using your PayPal Credit recently. I hope I can add a bit of detail and clarification here.
@KCLimited, welcome! It is correct that we have made a change to how we pull funds from back-up funding sources, but this only applies to PayPal Debit MasterCard purchases where you do not have enough in your balance. Previously, if you did not have enough in your balance, we would debit your confirmed bank account. Now, the PayPal Debit MasterCard is just funded by your PayPal balance. This had no effect PayPal Credit transactions.
@Nahmed1522 and @Shazia402, I understand how concerning it can be when you're unable to use your PayPal Credit as a funding source. First, here's a Help Center article you may find useful: Why can't I pay with PayPal Credit? Here's another on Where PayPal Credit can be used. If you're still running into issues after that, you may want to try an alternative funding source for that transaction.
My apologies for any inconvenience this has caused,
- Jon K

Thanks for the response, Jon.
I am in the process of dumping Paypal altogether. I can certainly use other, for more convenient institutions to store my paycheck and other tools to send out invoices. The only reason I was willing to take the hit on the Paypal fees was because they had the funnel into the Paypal Credit account when things got low.
With that gone, it's now just down to the hassle of moving the automatic charges to my new bank, which is in-process.

Same thing is still happening. Signed up for an account for one specific purchase, then couldn't use paypal credit to make that purchase despite being approved for far more credit than the cost of the purchase. Got bounced from paypal credit customer service, to paypal customer service, to paypal credit customer service, to paypal customer service, up the chain at paypal, back to paypal credit customer service, and no one could fix the issue or even explain why it wasn't available.
Can't believe I took a hit on my credit score for this terrible product and customer service incapable of helping.
