Wow, this is actually happening to me as we speak. The only potential cause I can pinpoint is that I initiated a dispute for a transaction that was funded using Pay in 4. However, they continue to receive payments until the full amount is settled or the dispute is resolved. Ever since I filed that dispute, I've been unable to access Pay in 4 at all. I've attempted to use it at the usual two or three shops, but I'm met with a 'not available' message, or the option doesn't even appear. I've even tried swapping out the items in my cart to see if it was an issue with the total cost or the item category—still no luck. The payment method linked to my bank account and routing numbers is also coming up as not available. I've reached out to PayPal, and they've assured me that there are no restrictions on my account; everything should be functioning normally. They mentioned that if there were any restrictions, I might be ineligible. But it doesn't add up because every time I shop at these stores where PayPal Pay is offered, I see all my payment methods, yet "Pay Later" or "Pay in 4" along with my checking account options are inaccessible, indicating that something is amiss. They can't convince me that there's no issue on their end. How can they not have a solution for this? And from what I've gathered in this forum, it's not an uncommon issue. I've always settled my payment plans with them punctually, often ahead of schedule, and I've never had a problem before, even with a dispute over a purchase that was paid for. They should be aware of this, so why would it trigger such a problem? The payments are deducted from my account automatically, so it's not as though I'm at risk of not paying, as if it were some kind of penalty.
