Only getting every 2-3 email notifications of payment received

So this has happened to me before. I get notifications on my iPhone that I received an order but then when I go to email there is nothing about the order. Mind you I do check SPAM folder and I know the email address is set up correctly in Paypal and email notifications is turned on. Same account and email address for past 20+ years.

Last time I found out because I was not getting any sales (according to email) but I had customers complaining they had ordered but not received product. I contacted support and they said yes, they see a bunch of emails with "failed to send" on them, they confirmed with me that email and such was properly set up and confirmed. They reset something and told all non sent emails to re send and over 10 minutes I got dozens of emails I was missing (took me quite a while to go through them and figure out which ones I had fulfilled and which ones never did).

Well as of 2 weeks ago it's doing it again but I am getting about half of my orders (only found out again because of customer complaints). Spent a good hour on phone today with support, they don't know why it happened but could see "some" emails failed to send. They did something while I was on hold and I then got 4 emails from orders that failed to send but I just found another 5 that never got emails for.

As I use emails to tell when I have orders, what the orders are for, where to ship the orders and the customers email you can understand this completely disrupts my business when it happens and I am not convinced that it's fixed this time (since I did not get all the lost emails back).

Any possible solution to this? I cannot keep going with these internal Paypal errors (by their own admission). It's too much for me to check Paypal every day to see new orders as I sell on multiple sites and receive payments in multiple forms. I use Paypal on my own sites only because they are already set up with paypal shopping cart (hundreds of items and multiple choices for each item like color or qty.) it would be a major undertaking to switch over to an unfamiliar system.
