My preferred way to pay is Paypal Credit, yet charges were taken from checking/debit card

I have my 'Preferred Way to Pay' set to Paypal Credit, yet I just made a transaction and its coming from my personal debit card/checking account.

Did paypal credit show up as a funding source when completing checkout.

Did you check it was going to be used before clicking to pay?
