Double Pay in 4 Charges?

My credit card shows 2 same amount pending charges on the same day different times to start my Pay in 4 payments. Is this common?

Are you sure it's not showing an Authorization and then a Capture separate from that?  That would be the same transaction.  

Or was the balance actually showing that amount reflected twice as well?

It is the same amount twice and the total of both are reflected in the balance of charges.
