Hi , I’m selling an item via gumtree for £450 . Had a message from an individual in Ireland saying they would pay £450 if we payed £205 for shipping fees for courier to collect from Scotland ( our location) . My wife stated that she had a payment pending of a total of £685 in her account , but it would not be released till she payed £205 . When my wife informed the buyer she wouldn’t n couldn’t pay £205 , the potential buyer suggested she just pay £105 ...... I don’t understand why the buyer doesn’t pay courier themselves and just transfer £450. Buyer has also stated the item will then be shipped to Australia ?? Sounds a little fishy to me .... any thoughts and advice on this would be appreciated as my wife is heavily pregnant and really worried about this . TIA
