Still did not receive my refund from Aliexpress after 10 days

I bought something on aliexpress and paid with paypal, but decided to cancel because somebody told me that I can't trust the vendor. Turned out I was right, but it's a long story and not relevant to my question. 

I canceled the order before it was shipped and the seller approved the refund.

I was told that I would receive the refund on my paypal within 3-7 days. 

It's been 10 working days and I still haven't received anything. This is crazy to me. When I cancel something on airbnb I have my money back in one hour, why is it taking so long? Does anybody have any idea how much longer I might have to wait? I really need my money back.

Did the seller refund?

Did you get email confirmation of a refund being issued?

Is it showing on the transaction as refunded?

Is it marked as on temp hold or pending?

Is it marked as completed?

None of the above. It was never shipped, so there was never a dispute or anything like that.

On my orders in aliexpress it just says order canceled. Nothing else. 

WHen I talk to the aliexpress bot it says that a refund was succesfully started.

I never received e-mail saying they issued a refund.

same here Refund Processing, seller insists I contact Aliexpress (which is impossible)
