"Your Account May Only Be Used to Send Money"

I receive the above message. I'm a Shopify developer and receives referral fees to PayPal. There is no other way to receive payouts other than PayPal. Is there anyway to enable my account to receive money?

The option to receive paypal payments is sadly not available in Sri Lanka.
You can only send payments for purchases funded by your (confirmed) credit card.

Paypal varies a lot country to country and can only offer the services that the banks / governments of that country allow it to offer.
There are quite a few countries unable to receive paypal payments.

Thank you for your reply. Shopify has already sent my payment. Is there anyway to check from PayPal what has happened to it? I don't mind redirecting it to another account which has the capability to receive money.

They may have sent it but you won't receive it because you can't receive funds in a paypal account in your country !!!!

In Kenya the normal withdrawal options available to you of MPESA or Equity Bank are not available after a permanent limitation. The only option still available when Paypal tell you that you can withdraw your funds is via a U.S bank account if you have one.
If you don't then you would need to contact customer services to help you access the funds from your permanently limited account.

Contact options for Paypal are accessed by clicking help/contact bottom left of Paypal pages...

1. Paypal phones are slowly re-opening and increasing in numbers (you can use the guest option if you can't log in).
2. Live chat is also randomly available.
3. You can send them a message, during business hours you may also be able to message whilst logged out.
Or
4. Have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their Facebook or Twitter pages.
