Pending Refund

Hi,

I have had a refund from next pending in my account for 8 days now.

Does anyone have any idea why?

Did you find out? I’m on day 8 now despite the fact the transaction was refunded by seller minutes after being made, payment came out of my account last Tuesday (6 days ago) and no sign yet of my refund, numerous messages saying 3-5 days or 5-7 days and now I’m just being ignored 😞 extremely frustrating.

Pending refunds can only happen for two reasons.

1. The seller has issued a refund from their bank account which takes time to process.

2. You funded the payment to the seller using bank transfer. What PayPal do here is credit the recipient on your behalf (so there is no delay in despatching your item). Then if you receive a refund in the meantime they are unable to issue this until the original bank transfer completes.

In the Uk its up to 5-7 business days.
