How can I stop forthcoming ad hoc payment please?

How can I stop Airbnb payment due for final balance in a few days? I have tried to cancel via Airbnb and host and not heard anything back. The cancellation policy for COVID-19 only covers stays up to 31 May and this is from 13 June.... I think the only way might be to cancel PayPal account but this will clear my history and I will be trying to get a refund on the initial payment made via PayPal..... Any ideas?

Welcome to PayPal community. 

If it’s a payment for a billing agreement/subscription you have with a merchant, you may follow the steps below on how you can cancel it.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Click Payments.
3. Below 'Pre-approved payments', click Manage pre-approved payments to find your payment.
4. Select the payment, and then click Cancel.

Cancelling a subscription cancels all future scheduled payments of that subscription. A subscription can be cancelled up until the day before the next scheduled payment in order for you not to be charged.
