Am very unhappy that AIRBNB record my PayPal password. I want to put my password in every time I pay

I have corresponded with air BNB but they refuse not to record my password.  This means that once you log onto to AIRBNB there is open slather to pay with my PayPal account. Often when travelling I must log onto AIRBNB to find out progress of various bookings. And I must do this frequently on public computers where there is no privacy.

I totally agree. I recently (may 2019) made a booking with Airbnb and went to pay via PayPal. I expected it to take my PayPal account , enter password and confirm. To my amazement it just said you have paid for your booking. On further investigation I made a booking using Airbnb in April 2017 which I used PayPal. It seems that Airbnb have saved my active PayPal details I believe without my permission. I have contacted Airbnb and after several emails I was told it's in the companies terms and conditions stating this. Also on top of that it is the customers responsibility to delete saved payment details from airbnbs software. The problem being it is impossible to delete payment details if you have an outstanding booking using the payment details u want to delete. I am not happy with is situation and business practice from Airbnb. I never want my PayPal details stored without an express request. I do not consider a few lines buried in terms and conditions an express permission from me. I have contacted the ICO and made an official complaint on this subject. I have also contacted PayPal to ask if they consider ticking I agree t's and c's constitutes enough permission for Airbnb to store my active account details indefinitely. As yet I have had no answer specifically answering my questions. I urge all people who feel strongly on this to contact ICO and PayPal. To be clear why I am unhappy it is because it is not unheard of for air BnB accounts to be hacked and anyone doing so can book holidays on my active PayPal account without entering any password.
