Sent money to someone using their phone number, but it seems to have gone to someone else.

Hello,

 I sent money to Erin, using her phone number. The phone number was accurate. She said she never received the money. I checked, and it went to someone named Jay. She then said that she had me blocked and that maybe that's why it didn't work. She unblocked me and I sent a small amount to test if it went through. It worked that time. Same phone number, but when it went though, it said it went to Erin.

Why would the money go to Jay if I used Erin's exact phone number, regardless of if she had me blocked at the time?

I think that contacts list is not very accurate or the system just chooses the next closest user? Its all software and it cannot explain itself.
