I was on OfferUp and found a PS4 that was cheap and I was told to pay him via PayPal first I sent him 40 next I paid 50 because we agreed on 100 if PayPal fees allowed it after that he was going to ship it and he said he couldn’t because a 30 dollar print out so I tried working to pay and he told me later that he would pay if I made a OfferUp account if I made him a account which he tried to sell a PS4 Pro. I realized that when tried to sell a PS4 to me he said that it was his father that was his father making him sell his PS4 for cheap and he needed a phone number that would send his son the same story with his sister expect it’s to him he didn’t want to refund so I tried to refund but I remembered I paid him via family and friends so I don’t know what to do please help.

Hi, If you paid him via Friends and Family there is no way of getting the money back. You should always be careful when buying items from unknown sellers and you should always use the paying for a goods or service option, even if he made you pay slightly more to cover the fees.

If you funded your paypal payment via a credit card then contact your card issuer and see if they will help you but unfortunately they may decline as well as it was a gift payment.
