Returning money friend sent

So, while making this account I made an error, and I cannot receive money a friend has sent. It's stuck in the Claim box, and I want to send it back so I can remake the account correctly. Any ways to do this or would I need to contact support directly (and if so how do I do that)? Or is that money dead in the water and lost forever?

I didn't notice I couldn't receive money because paypal was able to take money from my bank account. Sad, and i don't understand why i can lose money, but not gain money.

Ask the friend to log on and see if there is a cancel button on their end of the transaction. If there isn't, then unclaimed money will be returned to the sender after 30 days automatically.
