Hi all,
On the 8th of July I got a refund on Paypal from a service I've never received from the seller and he refunded me. Apparently, after 10 days now, not only I haven't received the payment, but Paypal says that the money haven't been released from the seller account yet as he has used an e-cheque payment option!
Tried to contact the seller and of course he's not answering to my messages, I also tried just now to send him another payment request from Paypal asking to pay me asap! I don't think I will hear from him anymore, so what's the responsibility of Paypal in the process? How can i get my money back???

Firstly should be 5-7 days and not 5-6 my bad.
Secondly its WORKING days and not calender days so clearance 'should' be around today.
Thirdly if the seller issued an echeque then what paypal means is that it hasn't cleared the sellers bank and arrived at paypal yet, customer services can't possibly know if its left the sellers bank account or not.
If the echeque fails then you can open a dispute for a refund.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Pending refunds can only happen for two reasons.
1. The seller has issued a refund from their bank account which takes time to process.....5-6 working days in the UK.
2. You funded the payment to the seller using bank transfer. What PayPal do here is credit the recipient on your behalf (so there is no delay in despatching your item). Then if you receive a refund in the meantime they are unable to issue this until the original bank transfer completes.

Hi, thanks for your answer. It's been 10 days now and I didn't get my money on my Paypal account, so more than 5-6 days. The "seller" lives in the U.S., but still, I've checked with Paypal today and they told me that the money haven't been released from his bank account yet! I just want to know what shall I do next and how Paypal it's going to help me to resolve the case if the seller won't contact me again. They didn't offer any kind of help, but only saying "try to wait a couple of days more". I want to know where are my money NOW! This is becoming ridiculous.
