Refund not showing in balance

Hi I was sent a refund for an item on 5th April. I can see it in the Activity section however my PayPal Balance has not changed to reflect this. I originally paid with my balance - not with my linked card. I have downloaded a statement report from 4th April and another one for 5th April and the the money is showing in the balance - it’s just not showing when I log into my account. I’ve never experienced a delay before. Does anyone know why this could be and when it should show?

Normally,  if you have used your Paypal balance to pay for the transaction originally, it should show up immediately on your Paypal balance once they have processed a refund. It would only take 3 - 5 business days for bank accounts and up to 30 business days if it is through a debit/credit card. 

 

I would suggest that you try and reach out to our chat representatives so that they can take a look at your account and see what the status of the refund is. We apologize as our customer service through phone is not available right now but since we have our live chat available, they will be more than willing to help you out on this. 

 

Just log in to your Paypal account, go to Message Center/Contact us and an option to chat with a representative will be available.
