Yes, supply them with a PayPal account. When they send payment, instruct them to use "Send" and select Goods and Services payment and "No Address Needed" in the shipping address drop down menu so in case PayPal withhold the funds for 21 days if this is new kind of transaction flowing into your account, you can mark the payment as "Processed" and not have to provide shipment tracking info and get your employer to mark the transaction on their end as "Services Rendered" or "Received" so PayPal can release the money sooner to your account.

You will eventually be asked to link a card and/or bank account for security/verification reasons and lifting account spending limits on your account and have withdraw privileges.

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

Hi Amy,

As Sharpiemarker wrote, if your employer is wanting to send your pay the typical way PayPal transfers are sent—email to email address, then make sure they follow that advice.

If your employer offers the option of direct deposit, this can be set up in PayPal by signing up for the PayPal Cash card. When a user signs up for this specific card, account and routing numbers get added to the PayPal account and these numbers can be found in the account profile. The card is no cost and there are no monthly fees. I'll link details.
