I it was showing in my Paypal account that a refund was pending for quite a few days , then I have looked today and it is showing has been refunded now to my bank account , but checked my bank and there is nothing shown as yet , the email I got from paypal regarding the refund on the 5th Dec , "The money has been refunded to your PayPal balance. It will be made available on or around 12 December 2018 "! .
If you funded the original Paypal payment to the seller with a card then it won't go back to your paypal balance.
Once marked as completed it will automatically go back to your card. Paypal say allow 30 days but I have never waited longer than a week for mine, however that depends a lot on what country you are in.
