Hi I’m not 100% sure yet and obviously before anything can be taken further I need a question answering. As of now this is all HEARSAY and are simply ACCUSATIONS. I do believe them true and accusations have been made against a YouTuber who raised money for two charities, Samaritans and Children With Cancer, during two separate instances of fund raising over the course of about a Month earlier this year. I have all the screenshots needed which have further raised questions and subsequently have the video made by the YouTuber on record. In this YouTubers video, made after accusations were made to himself, he rants and raves and ultimately shows his recent activity page and exclaims “you can visibly see payments made to such and such charities”. The way he did the fund raising was to make his own charity account (which I also know the name of) and subsequently send any donations made into this account onto the chosen charities himself. As supposedly ‘evidenced’ in his video. However in his video and all the screenshots etc (that I have) why does it show the transactions made to Charities as ‘purchases’?If someone was to set a fake business account and entitle it the same as a charity would this then show as a ‘purchase’ as I believe he owned both his charity giving account and the subsequent fake business account he then forwarded donations onto. Is this possible because.... When I make a donation be it either through PayPals own Donation Charity page or go direct to the Charity’s website and use PayPal to donate I get something that reads completely different in my activities. My activities read as “Payment” to the charities and not as a “Purchase”. To clarify- Using the Samaritans on PayPal I get “Donation Paypal Giving fund” “Payment” And using the Samaritans own website using PayPal to make the payment I get “Samaritans” “Payment” (In my recent activities) His video and the screenshots I have, visibly show “Samaritans” “Purchase” AND “Children With Cancer” “Purchase” Again, this is all hearsay atm and the accusations arose before any of the now screen shotted media I have in my possession. It’s just what with these accusations and this question that has arose and I’ve now put to you good people, are there any red flags that you people might be aware of? Potential fake business account? Is this possible? What should a genuine payment to a charity read as? On a side note, between the two instances of fund raising and across the two charities the sum raised was over £1100 Thank-you for any help and again, this is all HEARSAY as of now
