Paypal with prepaid debit card transactions.

I have money in my Paypal balance and I am linking it to a prepaid visa debit gift card. So when I pay online stores and I put in that prepaid visa debit gift card's credentials. Will money be taken out of my Paypal balance? This is used for Nike's payment options as they don't accept Paypal for auto fill data, only credit/debit card.

It sounds like a prepaid Visa debit gift card you are looking to use wasn't issued by us. You can learn more about the PayPal Prepaid Mastercard, a reloadable card with a rewards & savings account here. If you pay with prepaid gift cards with a Visa, American Express, MasterCard, or Discover logo your prepaid gift card would need to cover the entire transaction amount. If you use a prepaid gift card through PayPal and a refund is issued the refund must be sent back to the card that was originally used. We recommend keeping the physical card in case this should happen. If you dispose of the card, we do not have the ability to retrieve the refund and you would need to work with the company that issued the card. You cannot use a routing and account number associated with a gift card, prepaid card, or one-time-use card to verify your PayPal account.
