Paypal holding money/ glitched transaction

I ordered airpods for a total of ~$172. On apple's website, it said that there was an authorization problem. I checked paypal, and nothing was wrong, so I canceled it yesterday. More than 24 hours later, I still have that same "pending status" order.

It will time out and disappear from your transactions in a week or so to 30 days. If you click on transaction to the details, you should see a note that says it is a temporary authorization. If the pending status is gone and transaction is still listed in your activity  that means the charge went through in which you can request a refund from the merchant or click "report a problem".
