Payment under review

I've just be sent a message from a seller to say my payment is under review. I've never had this happen before so I'm very confused. The item I'm buying needs to be sent the same day as is needed the day after but paypal says it can take up to 24hrs to complete security checks. You has this happened???

Is it pending on YOUR paypal account or the SELLERS.

If its the sellers then its not your problem, its between the seller and paypal and he should send your item.

Just curious, I'm the seller and I ran into this same issue today when I made a sale in person with someone from my hometown. How can this be an accepted solution when PayPal themselves says in their help center under "Why is my payment pending" to NOT ship the product until their review process is done?

That is only when its pending due to an echeque being made by the buyer OR when there is a routine security review on the payment.

In that case it would show as pending on both buyer and sellers accounts.

For the 'new seller hold' the seller would not get that message about not posting yet AND it would only show as pending on the sellers side and the sooner they send the item the sooner they are paid when they supply a tracking number.

However if your is a local transaction then be careful as there is no seller protection for items that are 'collected' by the buyer.
