Part of refund went to "balance" which I don't have access to.

Hi,

I would appreciate of anyone could help me here...

I've received a refund for a canceled flight which I paid for using Pyapal + my debit card. For some unknown reason, part of the refund sum went to my "Payapal account balance". Rest of the sum went back to original source of payment - my debit card.

Now, the thing is - I don't see any "Paypal Balance" in my account at all.

According to answers in google, I don't have access to "Paypal balance" data since Paypal does not have this option enabled for my country (I can't receive money on Paypal, only send payments through it ).

So, my question is - is there any way to actually use these "Paypal balance" money or re-route them back to one of my cards?

I don't quite understand where are they right now.

Any advice or help will be appreciated.

The option to 'receive' paypal payments is sadly not available in the Ukraine.
You can only 'send' payments for purchases.
However you can get refunds and any refund automatically goes back to the funding source you used to pay with in the first instance.

Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

@kernowlass    thank you for the reply.  I understand the limitation of receiving the payments.    The problem is that I paid the whole sum with a debit card, but Paypal refunded part of this sum to Paypal balance, not the debit card.  So what is the reason for this? <removed>
