Not able to send money

Can anyone help me? My account will not let me send money to a friend and keeps saying "This recipient cannot accept money right now"

It would help if you said what country your friend was in.

Thank you for contacting PayPal.

In addition, in order for your friend  to receive the money you're sending , they must open a PayPal account and confirm their email address.

One possible reason why you can't send the money to your friend could be they have not confirm their email address yet. You can walk them through on how to confirm their email address

1. Go to  Settings.
2. Click Update next to the email address you want to confirm.
3. Click Confirm this email and we'll send you an email.
4. In the email we send you, click the Confirm your email button. At that time, you’ll be directed to the PayPal login page to enter your password and finalize the email confirmation process.
