I received a confirmation e-mail about an order I placed on line but the transaction is missing from my activity and the e-shop claims the transaction is not authorized.

Welcome to the PayPal Community! Thanks for reaching out! If you received a confirmation email from PayPal, that means we have started a transaction between you and the merchant. If the transaction is not showing up in your Activity, it's possible you may have checked out as a guest. I would recommend reaching out to the merchant to make sure they are still processing the order.
