Is the PayPal shiping pending real or fake?

I got an email and it says this: "We would like to inform you again that the payment sent from (I dont want to say his name) not reflected in your PayPal account due to our terms and policy to confirm Shipping Tracking from you so that we would be able to credit your PayPal Account because your money was placed on pending by us for security reason."

Is this real or fake? i checked my PayPal activity logs and i dont see anything...

Fake. Scam. Spoof email. Senders can't control your payment like that unless they have not paid at all.

Once sender completes a payment, only PayPal can subject your payment to a PayPal hold in which a record of payment will show in your PayPal account (if sender REALLY paid), marked "Payment Received" with an "On Hold" tag in red and shown in your Pending Balance in your PayPal account.

You are being tricked into shipping without receiving payment. Real PayPal payment confirmations show basic transaction info and not much else: who paid, how much, for what, buyer shipping address where required, transaction ID number, date of transaction.

PayPal never asks you to provide tracking info before receiving payment. Nor does PayPal ask you to provide tracking info through email, for your safety, you enter tracking info from within the record of payment itself by logging onto your PayPal account.

If you do not see payment right this minute, you have not been paid.
