I sent a F&F payment to a friend in Florida, Paypal says "Pending" - Why?

20+ years of using Paypal - I sent a F&F payment to a friend in Florida, Paypal says "Pending", why? Money was sent from my balance, Paypal subtracted the money... but it's pending? This guy kind of needs the money before they get around to sending it, how can I speed this process?

Double check the email address you sent the funds to and make sure there were no spelling errors or typos.

Secondly does it say unclaimed or unclaimed with a cancel option and if so then it would be an email error.

Is it pending on your account, the receivers account or BOTH accounts?

Have you sent in USD or GBP and if the latter then has your friend added GBP as a receiving currency on his U.S paypal account? 

Has your friend got a paypal cash to enable receipt of funds in the U.S OR has he received an email to claim it (check his spam folder).
