I lost my credit card and was replaced a new one with a new number

If you lost your credit card and was replaced a new credit card with a new number, how does the refund process work? Do they issues the refund to your new credit card?

if both old and new cards belong / ed to the same ACCOUNT then any refund should still go through ok.

I’m just trying to make sure my refund will still able to process with my new credit card with different number since I lost my old credit card, thank you for reply
