I am unable to use my paypal balance for Upwork connects

Hello, I wanted to buy connects in Upwork using my paypal balance but paypal keeps asking me for creditcard. I dont have a creditcard and bank account at the moment. I have already configured my paypal to use my balance when making online transactions so I dont get it why a window is popping up asking me to link a creditcard.

Because paypal require you to verify your paypal account with a bank account or card.

Hello, I only have this issue with upwork. In other sites, paypal lets me purchase. So i think it’s not an issue of verification?
