Difficulty in getting Pay Pal response

Have tried phoning Pay Pal but cant get through  Tried emailing my query but they simply send back automated replies without even reading my query

I am trying to trace a refund for a damaged item bought through EBay  EBay have advise the dzte of their refund but Pay Pal not even trying to understand my query...Really pathetic service from Pay Pal

If you funded the original Paypal payment to the seller with a card then it won't go back to your paypal balance.

Once marked as completed it will automatically go back to your card. Paypal say allow 30 days but I have never waited longer than a week for mine, however that varies country to country.
