Can I receive payments on my Unverified PayPal Account?

Hello!

I'm new to PayPal and it will take a while for me to link my Credit Card to PayPal. I was wondering if I could still receive payments while Unverified.

Although in some countries you can't receive funds without linking a credit card first so it would help if you said which country you are in?
