Accidentally denied payment

I'm new to PayPal and selling online. I was having issues verifying my account and I shipped the item before I accepted the payment. Today, I accidentally hit decline instead of accept. The person I spoke with over chat just told me that I should request the buyer to resend payment, but so far no response. Did I just completely **bleep** myself over? Also, it's pretty stupid that PayPal doesn't ask if you want to confirm first. I'm thinking this might be the last time I use this service if so.
