Accepting pending payment now requires professional account?

My PayPal account is linked to my Wix store, where I sell my CDs. It's been working fine til now - I was notified this morning that, to accept this payment I must upgrade to a professional PayPal account. I don't want to upgrade and don't understand why previous transactions worked and this one did not - has your policy changed? I was never notified, if so. How can I accept this payment without upgrading?
