OpenCart integration activate

Extension paypal.chmod.zip installed in version 4.0.1.1.
PayPal business account already established and activated with no limitations beforehand, it keeps taking me to the paypal sign up page but remains disabled in admin. Unable to edit in admin.
Is there a config I'm missing to activate? API tokens established both production and sandbox. Which is best to use? REST, NVP/SOAP, Braintree SDK
My reading suggests it only works to establish new pp account. Is this true? Very confused and no concise documentation exists that I can find.
Thank you

Good day @smallcents,

Thank you for posting to the PayPal community.

PayPal system is a payment gateway, which will receive the payment request payload (i.e Payment and Item details, Shipping details, Invoice number, Amount details etc.) from merchant websites(built via third party platforms eCommerce) and process the payments accordingly.

Third party platforms eCommerce (OpenCart) develops their own plugins/modules.

Please contact the support of your third party platform(OpenCart) who can able to help you regarding the plugins/modules setup and to onboard/link your LIVE PayPal account.

Note Please make sure your LIVE PayPal Business account is verified and confirmed without any account limitations

Merchants can manually grant permission to a third party software to access specific information in your PayPal account and perform PayPal API operations on your behalf.

Login PayPal.com >> Settings >> Account Settings >> Website payments >> API Access >> Pre-built payment solution >> Grant API permission >> contact your "Third party software eCommerce (ClickBank) " for Third Party Permission Username >> enter the username.

Merchant can integrate any product based on their requirement.

NVP is a legacy integration. REST API is a latest integration.

To process direct card payments, merchant can integrate "Braintree" product.

Sincerely,
