Live App Settings - Enable and Disable "accept payments"

Hi guys,

we want to deactivate our payment-solution paypal for a few days, as we have to optimize some internal processes. That for, I would like to use the feature options of the App Settings and just disable "accept payments". But I'm not sure, if that has an impact on the already payed orders or the balance of the main paypal account.

Does someone have experience here?

From the following, I understand that app settings are app-specific and not related to PayPal account settings, can you please confirm that if I disable "
Accept paymentsEnable one-time and subscription payments." in app settings then it will not affect the payments I receive directly in PayPal?
