Increase in Failed Payments
I have seen an increase if failed order payments with Paypal over the last few weeks in my WooCommerce store. I have had three failed transactions today alone but one did go through.
The message showing in the order notes is
"Could not retrieve order. Maybe it was already completed or this browser is not supported. Please check your email or try again with a different browser. PayPalGateway.php:553 Order status changed from Pending payment to Failed"
I am using the following plugin

Turn on only PayPal options or process a full suite of payment methods. Enable global transaction with extensive currency and country coverage.

Thank you for posting to the PayPal community.
PayPal system is a payment gateway, which will receive the payment request payload (i.e. Payment and Item details, Shipping details, Invoice number, Amount details etc.) from merchant websites(built via third party platforms eCommerce) and process the payments accordingly.
Third party platforms WooCommerce develops their own plugins/modules.
I would suggest to please contact the support of WooCommerce, who should be able to help you regarding the plugins/modules setup and make sure your website(built via WooCommerce) is passing valid API requests to PayPal system.
Also, please try to process a test payment using a card that is not associated to your PayPal Account, since merchants can't process self-payments.
If your still facing issues, please create an MTS ticket via - https://www.paypal-support.com/s/?language=en_US with the detailed information and error details.
