Error message on check out page

I recently set up a membership page (with Memberpress) and followed their instructions to connect Paypal.

Everything looks like it is set up correctly, however when I go to test the page I get an error message on the check out page. It's a generic Paypal message saying "Things don't appear to be working at the moment. Please try again later."

Mamberpress says it's a Paypal issue, but I can't get through to anyone on Paypal to see what might be the issue.

Any thoughts?

Good day @srutka,

Thank you for posting to the PayPal community.

Please cross-check your PayPal Business account and make sure it is verified and confirmed without any account limitations

Also, process a test payment via card which is not linked to your PayPal account, since merchants can't perform self-payments.

This should be an issue with your internal website(built via third-party platform(eCommerce)) which is passing invalid payment requests to PayPal system.

Sample HTML button code: View sample HTML code that shows various payment features and options for each PayPal payment button.

Important: PayPal Website Payments Standard (WPS) is a legacy integration.

We recommend merchants to integrate our latest PayPal Checkout (Smart button) product.

Please follow the steps provided in the below detailed guide links :

Please follow the below steps via your PayPal account.

Login PayPal.com >> click on "settings icon" >> go to "Account settings" >> Website payments >> PayPal buttons >> select "Smart Buttons" button type >> fill all the required details.

(Or)

Login PayPal.com >> go to direct link "https://www.paypal.com/buttons/" >> follow the above steps

If you are still facing issues, please create an MTS ticket via - https://www.paypal-support.com/s/?language=en_US  with the detailed information and error details.

Sincerely,

Vaishnavi
