Where is my Refunded money.

I decided to purchase an item with paypal smart connect, 2 days later I paid paypal smart connect the amount I owed, but later after being dissatisfied I requested a refund, I've read the money goes to paypal smart connect, the refund says its been completed. My balanced has not changed. I was wondering where My money is and what I would need to do to get it.
