Because something I sold on eBay went to an old, old email account, I had to register a second pay pal account with that email account in order to claim the buyer's payment. Somehow, the sign-up got me enrolled with a Smart Connect account I never wanted. Trying to transfer that payment to my original pay pal account took literally 3 hours because both CS and I were hopelessly confused. The Smart Connect Card is perhaps intended to be a convenience, but wouldn't it be better to ask the customer if they want the card?
