paypal debit card being denied..

I have a paypal debit card and I have AVAILABLE BACKUP FUNDS, (I USE BY BANK ACCOUNT). I GOT ENOUGH FUNDS TO COVER THE PURCHASE AND MY TRANSACTIONS ARE BEING DENIED..WHY??  MY LIMITS LOOK OKAY BUT MY TRANSACTIONS ARE BEING DENIED...ANYBODY KNOW WHY? THANKS.

hi, yes my bank acct is confirmed.  I have been using my paypal debit card just fine and then one day like a week ago it started denying my transactions at places. I have enough $ in my bank acct to cover it, I dont understand and my limits look okay...

as of the last week or so (since the new looking emails have been coming out) I have had countless times I have been someplace...used my paypal card as credit and the first run through it is denied...I have them run it again and it works but then I see two approvals for a period but only one is completed eventually.

I have also noticed over the last week (since those new darn emails) that I am getting notifications of the amount used from my back up funding source are not coming the day before the amount is with drawn from my bank account but the same day as I get the notice that night. It is so weird and annoying!!!

Mine was just denied too - for a $12 charge, when I have a $3,000 spending limit and had spenless than $50 in 24 hours.  This keeps happening.

I did talk to someone in customer service about 2 months ago and they said that if you use your card 5 times within 24 hours, it could be denied because of their security measures. I was told they are aware that this is frustratingand was assured they are working to fix this issue. That was about 2 months ago. Now it just happened again.  And I just removed the card from my account for the company I was using it to pay. I will be using their card less.

I've had this problem in the past.  The thing I've found is that your balance has to be either a positive number or zero.

If you're negative even one cent (I was negative 50 some cents one time because they didn't take from my bank account even knowing backup funding was active for a year before it happened).

To fix it, you had to transfer money back to make the balance a positive number, then the card would work again.

Only other problem, but it's been fixed  for quite some time now is, you could charge whatever you wanted for gas, but it wouldn't pre-authorize to save it's life. decline every time, but that's been fixed at least for my card.
