Debit card usage

My Paypal Debit card lets me spend more than my balance, then deducts the amounts from my bank account. It seems as though sometimes it takes a few days and other times it is the same night. Is there some sort of schedule for this?

PayPal sends the backup funding request to your bank overnight.  However, because this uses the Automated Clearing House (ACH) system on the banking industry, the process can take a few days to actually show up at your bank account.  Essentially you get a couple of days of free "float."

Why are you asking PayPal to get you a GE credit card?  I don't understand.
