Hello!

I would like to inform you all that I received today an message by someone who pretended to be a ''PayPal'', but I'm pretty wise to know that wasn't actually PayPal, cause even the phone number for what I received the message isn't registered with PayPal XD

So I would like to warn you all that do not open those links on the messages you will receive from someone who is pretending to be a ''PayPal''!

I will also add the fake PayPal number here to warn others: +4[Removed. Phone #s not permitted]

And the message was: PayPal:We need your help resolving an issue with your account. Please log in via <removed> to confirm your identity and restore service.

I also attached a screenshot of the message! <removed>

Wishing you all the best and don't open links on the suspicious messages you receive!!

Sten.

If its a spoof, NEVER USE ANY LINK.

Firstly if the email/text addressed you as ''Dear Member'' / ''Customer'' / ''Client'' OR your ''email address'' then that confirms its a spoof as paypal would address you by your full name eg Dear John Smith.

Secondly if there was a link OR attachment in that email/text to ''cancel'' any transaction or ''confirm'' any details then again it would be a spoof.

If there was a problem with your account Paypal would not ask you to click on an unsafe link in an email or by downloading an attachment, they would direct you to log in normally and go to the resolution or the message centre for more information.
