Text from PayPal

Hi there, I purchased a mobile phone for my daughter's birthday today from Techobuy, purchasing via paypal. I have now received a text message from PayPal asking me to reply 1 if I made the purchase and 2 if I didn't. I'm not sure if this is a genuine text from PayPal. Is this a usual way for PayPal to verify if you have made a purchase??

Yes they do send out texts BUT i don't know if yours is genuine but if its to do with your recent transaction then who else would know you bought it?

Sounds like more tat from China so i expect you may be back soon asking how to open a dispute  😐
