Taking money away

Someone has sent me money a few times this year and it has taken away some of the amount, how do I stop this or why does this happen, thank you

You pay a fee to receive payments from buyers.

The only time you don't pay a fee is if its a friends / family payment but its against paypal rules to accept that type of payment for selling.

However if it was a friends/family payment but they sent it as goods/services then that is why you would have paid a fee.
