Pending Payment

Hi, so I sent some money overseas about a couple days ago, and the current status on it is Pending. But it also says Payment Sent. Has this happened to anyone before and if so, does the money clear? Does it also make a difference that I sent the money in my currency (NZD) to my friend which has (AUD)

If it says payment sent then it was a friends / family payment, yes?

Thats fine but if its showing sent on your paypal account and pending on theres then as its a friends / family payment it sounds like a currency issue.

If your friend only has AUD currency on his paypal account then he would need to 'add' NZD a receiving currency on his paypal account and then the funds would show.

However to 'use' them he may need to convert them to his currency first.

Tell him to click on the 3 dots next to paypal balance > manage currencies HOWEVER it may be in a slightly different place in his country.

Hey thanks for the help. I'm fairly new to PayPal so I appreciate it. Let's say he does add NZD to his currency management. How would he convert that money to his currency AUD? Can that be done through the PayPal website?

Yes under manage currencies.
