PPP loan application status

Can anyone answer as to why there is no possible way to check on a PPP loan application status?  I applied about two weeks ago and haven't heard any reply.  And please don't tell me to go here because that is a dead end:  https://www.paypal.com/us/smarthelp/article/how-do-i-apply-for-the-paycheck-protection-program-(ppp)...
