I received an email from paypal. is this legit?

So i posted an item on gumtree and i received a message wanting to buy the item. We continued to talk via email.

Now she made a wire transfer to my bank via pay pal. I just want to know if this is legit or not. I have replaced my name and her name with ***** for privacy. I will paste the message below.

Regarding the PayPal payment made to your Westpac Banking Corporation account by ***** ****** We are pleased to inform you that the payment has been successfully deducted from the buyer's account, But due to security reasons we have to receive the tracking/reference number as proof of shipment before the payment can be processed into your account.

This is a new measure we are taking to protect all our customers against fraudulent acts. Once you have shipped the item, Email us the shipment tracking number for verification after the number has been verified, Your account will be credited immediately.

This PayPal® payment has been deducted from the buyer's account and has been "APPROVED" but will not be credited to your account until the shipment reference/tracking number is sent to us for shipment verification so as to secure both the buyer and the seller. 

Below are the necessary information requested before your account will be credited. Send the tracking number to us by replying directly to this email message.

PayPal team is using this opportunity to tell you that the total amount of ($730.00 AUD) will be credited into your account immediately we receive the requested details.

The status of your fund is in PENDING MODE !!!

SCAM.

They encourage you to accept a direct Paypal payment and may ask you to send the item internationally.
No funds or activity of the transaction shows in your Paypal account and any emails may go into your junk/spam folders.

You will get/got a "fake" email that looks as though it is from paypal.....it isn't because they don't have a Paypal account and have no intention of paying you.
It will say the buyer has paid ...you won't have been paid.
They will tell you that the payment is released when you provide paypal with a tracking/shipping number......this won't happen.

Paypal NEVER tell you to send an item before the payment is showing in your paypal account.
Paypal do not tell you to send trackable, they advise it for selling protection but it is not compulsory and you do NOT email paypal a tracking number, what you are doing is emailing the scammers.
Delete any emails and ignore the scammers.
